The arrival of 2014 and Meaningful Use Stage 2 means some significant changes to the Eligible Professional (EP) Clinical Quality Measures (CQMs), and providers must begin using the new measures regardless of what stage of Meaningful Use they are in.
In this video presentation, Eric Gunther of Azara Healthcare examines differences between the 2014 CQMs and the 2011 measures that many providers are accustomed to, including those for diabetes, asthma and tobacco status and cessation. Many of the different measures offer a simpler logic and different code sets.
Gunther describes how Azara is adapting to reflect measure changes and how it is providing clear and concise documentation to describe them. Additionally, Azara is providing training to help providers ensure they are conforming to the new standards.
