Azara Healthcare, the leading provider of data-driven analytics, quality measurement and reporting for the community health and physician practice market today announced that Azara DRVS and Azara Care Connect have earned Certified status for information security by HITRUST.

HITRUST Risk-based, 2-year (r2) Certified status demonstrates that Azara DRVS and Azara Care Connect have met key regulations and industry-defined requirements and are appropriately managing risk. This achievement places Azara Healthcare in an elite group of organizations worldwide that have earned this certification. By including federal and state regulations, standards, and frameworks, and incorporating a risk-based approach, the HITRUST Assurance Program helps organizations address security and data protection challenges through a comprehensive and flexible framework of prescriptive and scalable security controls.

“The HITRUST Assurance Program is the most rigorous available, consisting of a multitude of quality assurance checks, both automated and manual,” said Bimal Sheth, Executive Vice President, Standards Development & Assurance Operations, HITRUST. “The fact that Azara Healthcare has achieved HITRUST Risk-based, 2-year Certification attests to the high quality of their information risk management and compliance program.”

HITRUST certification verifies that Azara maintains the Common Security Framework (CSF), which combines nationally and internationally accepted standards including ISO, NIST, PCI and HIPAA to ensure a comprehensive set of baseline security controls. To maintain certification, Azara must ensure compliance and third-party monitoring of its platforms and undergo interim audits.

“The safety and protection of our client’s data is of utmost importance and Azara has consistently risen to meet the bar for risk management,” said Jeff Brandes, Azara’s President and CEO. “Data security is an ongoing effort, and we are proud to have achieved HITRUST Certification three times since 2018 and will continue to prioritize and invest in all means necessary to maintain this high security standard.”
