As a Technical Data Analyst, you will be expected to demonstrate superior problem-solving skills and logical thinking and serve as a subject matter expert for data analysis. This role is a blend of a data scientist and a traditional data analyst.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform data analysis and other general business analysis tasks
- Use of analytical tools, query, and scripting languages including
- Apply problem solving skills to understand and solve analytical problems
- Perform statistical analysis across disparate data sources
- Have the ability to diagnose problems with complex data flows
- Learn new skills, make timely decisions, and adapt well to change
Position Requirements:
- 3-5+ years as a data analyst; any healthcare industry experience is a plus
- SQL proficiency and regular use in a professional setting is a must
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems and think logically and analytically
- Ability with dealing with complex data sets
- Ability to understand processes and workflows
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with analytical tools such as SQL, SPSS/R/SAS, Python, PowerBI/Tableau
- Experience with statistical methods such as hypothesis testing and regression analysis
- Familiarity with common machine learning techniques is a plus
- Experience with healthcare common data and quality standards, including:
- Messaging – HL7, FHIR, relevant EDI formats
- Data sources – EHRs, HIE, Plans
- Quality – HEDIS, CQMs
- APIs– REST, SOAP
- Microsoft Office experience: Excel (Deeper Knowledge Preferred), Word, PowerPoint, Visio.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or other analytical discipline) or equivalent experience
